The District sponsored Cub Scout Day Camp Program provides an introduction to Scouting’s Outdoor Program. Activities are conducted in an outdoor setting within your district, close to home and during daylight hours. The program provides an opportunity for continuation of the Cub Scout program and advancement throughout the summer. Program activities may include; swimming, crafts, nature study, games, field sports, and shooting sports.
Scouts participating in Day Camp are better prepared and eager to accept the challenge of Resident Camping. Cub Scout Day Camp is not intended as an advancement camp. Instead, through supervised activities, kids develop self-reliance and resourcefulness, learn age appropriate skills, establish new friendships, and, of course, have lots of FUN.
