On August 4, Diana Ashley (17) completed one more major step toward fulfilling a lifelong dream: becoming an Eagle Scout.
Diana led a project to build a fire pit with a paver stone circle and a Screenings foundation at the First Baptist Church of Conway. Diana and the volunteers who helped her spent over 175 hours in completion of the project. Diana is definitely hoping to be part of the Inaugural Class of Female Eagle Scouts. She is the daughter of Dennie and Elizabeth Ashley.
The window established by the BSA nationally to be part of the Inaugural Class of Female Eagle Scouts opens on October 1. Any female members of Scouts BSA who complete their Eagle requirements and have their Boards of Review between Oct 1 and Jan 31, 2021 will be included in this Inaugural Class. Though the window originally only extended through Oct 31, it was extended by the National BSA in light of the complications caused by advancement under COVID-19.
